Key Responsibilities
Analyze the financial performance of retail properties, and prepare detailed reports on property budgets, expenses, and profitability. Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate leasing scenarios and provide insightful market research and competitor analysis to inform leasing strategies. Assist property managers with budget preparation and expense tracking while monitoring portfolio performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain accurate databases of lease terms, tenant information, and market data. Support due diligence processes for acquisitions or dispositions of properties. Present insights and recommendations directly to senior management to influence strategic decisions. Additionally, liaise with external stakeholders to gather market intelligence, and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
Required Qualifications
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools is required, as well as a solid understanding of commercial property management practices. Excellent communication and presentation abilities are crucial, alongside being detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A basic understanding of market research methods is necessary. Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in a finance role within an operations setting. Familiarity with the local Arlington market and its economic landscape is highly beneficial, along with the ability to engage with community stakeholders effectively.
