Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial performance of retail properties and provide detailed reports on property budgets, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate various leasing scenarios and their impact on property performance.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform and enhance leasing strategies.
- Assist property managers with budget preparation, expense tracking, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Maintain and update databases of lease terms, tenant information, and market data to support property management decisions.
- Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions or dispositions of properties.
- Present insights and data-driven recommendations to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data collection and reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
- 5-7 years of experience in Finance work within an Operations setting.
- Familiarity with commercial property management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of market research methods.
- Experience working in the Waterloo area or similar regional markets is a plus.
